It is the Mission of Vista del Lago High School to create a Culture of Excellence

I am honored and a proud member of our Raven Family at Vista del Lago High School.  Our School is young in history yet we are building a tradition of excellence.  We are always looking at ways to enhance the educational programs, the climate and culture, student learning results, the climate and culture with a focus on student success.  We will maximize our efforts and resources to provide the best staff development and maintain our edge with educational technology and the latest instructional and learning strategies available.  We strive to seek new avenues and partnerships to connect with our students, parents and community to promote and increase the importance of student daily attendance, completion of assignments and success in all we do.   Our athletic teams success has increased and we are looking for even better results this year.  Our Middle College partnership and career pathways in Business, Music, Art, Animation and Stage Productions are doing well and our Pre-Engineering Pathway and Health Partnership Academy have had tremendous positive growth.  

We will continue our implementation and work with the Professional Learning Communities with our staff with a focus on student learning success as they prepare for their next level.  Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to learning and to grow with us as they dream, organize, plan, develop and reach their goals for becoming positive change agents and active, responsible citizens in our society.  To this end we are committed to reach out and consistently do whatever it takes to increase our test scores and go beyond our target scores in the adequate yearly progress (AYP), and Academic Performance Index (API).  Each year we made progress in these areas and are confident this year’s gains will be significantly higher.  We will continue to involve our business community in providing our students with incentives awards and rewards for attendance, test participation and academic achievements with your assistance, support and encouragement, we will consistently soar to new heights.
